Peter B. Slabaugh, M.D.
Spine Surgery, Trauma Surgery
Dr. Slabaugh completed his orthopedic residency
training at the University of California, San Francisco, after which he
did a spine fellowship at the University of Minnesota before coming to
practice at Webster Orthopaedic. He specializes in the surgical and
nonsurgical treatment of many spinal disorders including pediatric
problems, scoliosis, fractures, and back pain caused by disc problems
and arthritis. As Chief of Orthopaedics at Highland Alameda County
trauma hospital, Dr. Slabaugh has extensive experience in all types of
orthopaedic fractures and injuries which he also treats in his practice
at Webster.
Dr. Slabaugh is a member of the American
Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery,
Scoliosis Research Society, Alameda Contra Costa County Medical Society,
California Medical Association, is a Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic
Surgery at U.C.S.F. and is past president of the Northern California
Chapter of the Western Orthopaedic Association.
In addition to participating in numerous
speaking engagements, Dr. Slabaugh has authored articles in the Journal
of Pediatric Orthopaedics, Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, Journal of
Trauma, Journal of Spine, and LeRoy Abbott Orthopaedic Society
Proceedings.
